6 Month Family Session

Our 6 month family session went amazingly well.  Not sure what it was - maybe we felt more comfortable with Angelina with Asterisk Photography or we were all just in a really great mood, but this session had this very playful air about it.  We LOVED how our pictures turned out for the 3.5 month session and after the 6 month session, we felt so excited and positive.  Angelina did not disappoint!  Wow!  I'm so in love with these pictures - I can't stop looking at them!!  The colors are vibrant, the lighting bright...LOVE!!!

Angelina is amazing and so talented - I'm so happy to have her be part of Alyssa's first year.  Capturing moments we are not able to capture ourselves.  Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Here are some of my favorites:

6 Months

What's new:
  • Loves eating solids - sometimes more so than her milk
  • Really interested in watching us eat.  She's so interested in watching us eat that she'll salivate and you can hear her swallowing.  It cracks us up!
  • Loves sweet potatoes!!! She's also tried sweet peas but got a rash afterwards, zucchini, and carrots.  For fruits, she's tried bananas and applesauce and doesn't like them at all!  She does the body shake after eating it then gags.  So no fruits for her!

  • Is on the move...backwards at least
  • Turns her body to the right while on her tummy
  • Made a new friend at school

  • Loves playing on daddy's iPad

Apples Everywhere

Happy October, happy fall everyone!  Hope you all are enjoying this nice weather we are having.  I know we did this past weekend!  We drove up to the north GA mountains with my sister-in-law and her family to Reece's Apple Orchard, in Ellijay, GA.  Picking apples has always been on my list of things to do and now that we have Alyssa, I hope this would be the start of fun new traditions.  Alyssa's cousins were on a mission picking baby sized apples for her - too bad she doesn't like apples!  I think we ended up with half the bag full of baby sized apples!    We had such a good time hiking through the orchard picking fresh apples, I know we will be back next year!

If you are in the market for some fresh mountain air and apples, I would recommend driving up to Ellijay.  And on your way home from a day of picking apples, I would recommend stopping by Mike's Ellijay Restaurant for some good country food!  We never leave Ellijay without stopping by.  I LOVE their rib eye!!!  It is so good my mouth is watering just thinking about it!!  And for dessert, you have to try their homemade peanut butter pie!  YUM!
